Last updated: 31 January 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Road to Emmaus mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The service

Road to Emmaus is a spiritual wellness application designed to help users build consistent prayer and reflection habits through small daily practices. The App includes features such as daily micro-activities and local progress tracking on your device.

3. No user accounts

The App does not require user accounts. You are responsible for keeping access to your device secure.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

The App may offer paid features through in-app purchases or subscriptions. Purchases are processed by the app store provider (for example, Apple App Store or Google Play) and are governed by that provider's terms and policies. We do not handle payment card information. If you have billing questions, refunds, or subscription management requests, use the tools provided by the app store.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You will not attempt to interfere with the App, bypass paywalls, or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.

6. Intellectual property

The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Road to Emmaus or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App unless we give you written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it to understand how information is handled.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. The App is offered for spiritual encouragement and habit support and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or pastoral care. If you are in danger or experiencing a crisis, seek immediate help from local emergency services or a qualified professional.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Road to Emmaus will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date on this page when changes are made. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if it is necessary to protect the App or other users. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
