Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 January 2026
1. Introduction
Road to Emmaus ("we," "our," or "us") provides the Road to Emmaus mobile application (the "App") and this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the App and when you visit our website.
2. Data stored on your device
The App is designed to work without accounts or a backend database. Your spiritual practice data (such as activities you complete, your progress, and streaks) is stored locally on your device. We do not receive this practice data on our own servers.
3. Purchases and the paywall
The App uses Superwall to present the paywall and to help manage access to paid features. If you view or interact with the paywall, the Superwall software development kit (SDK) may process information needed for app functionality and purchases, such as device and app information and subscription or purchase status.
If you make a purchase or subscription, payment is processed by the relevant app store provider (for example, Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not receive your full payment card details.
4. Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to sign in and we do not collect your name, phone number, or email address through the App. We do not use analytics services, crash reporting services, or advertising trackers in the App. We do not use push notifications.
5. Website information
This website is hosted using standard web infrastructure. Like most websites, our hosting and delivery providers may process basic request information (such as IP address, device type, and timestamps) to deliver content securely and reliably. We do not use website contact forms or marketing trackers on this site.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help operate the App, specifically the Superwall SDK for paywall functionality, and the relevant app store provider for purchase processing.
7. Data retention
Your practice data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear the App's storage on your device. Purchase and subscription records are retained by the app store provider according to their policies. If you email us, we keep that correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain records of support conversations.
8. Your choices and controls
You can delete your locally stored practice data by deleting the App or clearing its storage in your device settings. If you have questions or want help understanding how data is handled, you can contact us using the address below.
9. Children's privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us by email, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
